Nuevamente la banda británica sorprende con la liberación de Ill Wind, en sus plataformas de streaming. El track formó parte de la edición en vinilo de su último álbum, A Moon Shaped-Pool (2016).
En la edición ya comentada del LP, Ill Wind fue acompañada de Spectre, tema encargado a los oriundos de Oxford para la banda sonora de la película homónima de James Bond. No obstante, no fue incluida en el soundtrack, siendo liberada para descarga gratuita.
