Una de las premiaciones más populares de la cultura pop son los MTV Video Music Awards, que a pesar de haber perdido un poco la gran audiencia que solía tener, sigue siendo uno de los eventos musicales más vistos año a año junto con los Grammy’s y los AMA’s.
En medio de la pandemia causada por el COVID-19 existían dudas si es que se realizaba la premiación, pero MTV prendió la luz verde y finalmente los VMA’s sí van este año, aunque con las medidas de distanciamiento social necesarias para que se pueda llevar a cabo el evento número 37 que tiene como fin premiar a los mejores vídeos lanzados, así como también a sus artistas, directores y coreográfos.
Lady Gaga y Ariana Grande lideran las nominaciones de este año con 9 cada una, seguidas por Billie Eilish y The Weeknd con 6, mientras que de cerca se encuentra Taylor Swift con 5.
